when i download a2 i unpack it and there is gg and a2 but i try and run a2 and it wont open but my avg says there is a trojan horse generic and it wont open so i cant use the uploader now what can i do???

hi i had this problem also but found out it was my avg resident shield blocking it all you have to do is go into avg and go to resident shield and manage exceptions then click on the folder where a2uploader is thats it

Mine does that also (so I can’t use A2 Uploader on Windows Vista, just Windows 7 (I have dualboot)).
It’s a false positive, why would the creator of SETool software make a virus?

dude i had the same problem but managed to sort it what you need to do is……..right click on the a2uploader icon click properties copy the file path in location and add it to your exceptions on your anti-virus worked a treat for me hope this helps

my avg found it as a threat.
i disable the avg and try again,

Also, your AVG or anti-virus is STILL removing it as my Norman removes it from my computer by doing that (I have to use it on my dualbooted Windows 7).

My McAfee Anti-virus also detects it as a virus (and my Norman Anti-virus), running on my Windows Vista Ultimate.
This is a false positive, I have to use A2 Uploader on my dualbooted Windows 7 instead.

It will work on your W760 as it is on the DB3150 platform (A2).

I keep having the problem some other people have mentioned – when I press identify the program crashes and I get the “A2Uploader.exe has stopped working” every time.
I have installed the drivers. I am using Windows Vista – tried everything!

Dont worry Wrox, I got around it by adding the program to the DEP settings on Vista.
Anyone else having the same problem I advise u to google DEP and follow steps. Just debranded my w995 successfully and until yesterday I knew nothing about it at all! Cheers Wrox 😀
